Cold outreach
Email and DM templates that get replies instead of spam reports.
Short, specific, and obviously written by a person. Every template here is under 120 words and names something real about the recipient in the first line.
Send fewer, better ones.
The specific-compliment cold email
emailtemplateSubject: six words, lowercase, no pitch.
Line 1: the specific thing — the post, the feature, the decision — that made you write. Not "love your work".
Line 2: what you built and the one-sentence reason it is relevant to them.
Line 3: a yes/no question. Not a call request.
Under 120 words total. No attachments, no calendar link in the first email.
The founder-to-founder DM
dmxtemplateTwo sentences maximum. Reference something they shipped, say what you shipped, ask nothing.
The goal of the first message is a reply, not a conversion. Anything longer reads as a pitch and gets left on read.
The newsletter feature pitch
emailtemplateSend the copy they would actually publish: one line on what it is, the link, a screenshot, and who it is for.
Do not describe your journey. The editor is looking for a slot filler, and making it a copy-paste job is the entire advantage.
The podcast guest pitch
emailtemplateLine 1: the episode of theirs you actually listened to, and the specific point you would push back on or extend.
Line 2: the story you would tell, in one sentence, with a number in it.
Line 3: your availability.
Hosts book stories. Nobody books "founder of a SaaS".
