NovelShaft helps fiction writers keep the pieces of a long story connected: the manuscript, characters, worldbuilding, scene plans, clues, and AI conversations. Start with a template Use templates for character profiles, worlds, outlines, scenes, and clues to turn an idea into working story material. Develop the details beside the manuscript so the next writing session has a clear place to begin. Work with an AI agent inside the project Ask for help using your project references. The agent can gather relevant material, work on writing materials, and save results in the workspace. Visible activity and completion checks let you follow the work. You review the output and can undo project changes. A first session to try Choose a character or scene template, add the character’s motivation and an important constraint, then ask the agent to develop the scene using those notes. Review the result, make it your own, and continue drafting. Write across devices NovelShaft is available on the web and iOS, in English and Japanese. Export manuscripts as text, Markdown, Word, PDF, or EPUB. A free account is required; no payment is needed to start. AI usage is limited, and paid plans are optional.
